REALIZING THE VISION

Janice Horn long time citizen of Clarion Borough had a vision; she wanted a park in Clarion Borough so families could enjoy the outdoors and to improve our community by making it a better place for all. In September of 2020 Janice donated the funds to Clarion Blueprint Community, Inc. to purchase the empty lot on Second Avenue in Clarion Borough. Securing the land was the first step of the journey to act on Janice’s dream.  On March 9, 2024, Janice passed away but her dream lives on. She was an incredible woman and her passion for serving her community was unending. She will be remembered for her unrelenting dedication to making the place we call home a little bit brighter. We are proud to say that the new playground is named after her, the Janice Horn Memorial Playground.
